Great Performance in provincial test results!
Performance of students in French-language schools in Ontario
A few weeks ago, I mentioned that I would talk about the performance of students in French-language schools in Ontario. The provincial test results were announced at the end of August 2011.
If you are a parent, guardian or tutor, your child’s progress at school is important to you.
I invite you to visit the Education Quality Accountability Office (EQAO) Web site to learn more about the provincial tests. (The EQAO is an independent agency funded by the Government of Ontario that provides clear, accurate and objective information on the performance of students and the quality of education in Ontario schools.)
The EQAO has also developed six questions for parents (available in 20 languages) to help them interpret their child’s school’s results.
The results for 2010-2011 show, once again, a significant progress for French-language schools in Ontario.

You can also visit the following Fraser Institute site, where you will find the “Report Card on Ontario’s Elementary Schools”.
In a future post, I will explain the reason behind this kind of evaluation and the improvement plan that each school must develop.
